Being a woman in the music industry isn’t easy. It takes courage, hustle and determination to make it through the daily challenges. Today, gender inequality continues to be a pressing issue in the music industry and in cities across the country. But regardless of the biases that still remain, there is a silver lining…
Talent is talent no matter the race, gender, creed or religion.

Formed in the spring of 2016, the mission of Beats By Her is to shine a bold light on local female artists making a impact. BBH empowers these talented women with the additional support, resources and access needed to pursue their dreams. Based in Dallas, BBH wants to share the inspiring stories of independent female artists in Texas and beyond. No matter the city, we want to share your story.
Produced by Dallas-based agency DARBY JAMES, Beats By Her is a game-changing movement designed to increase performance opportunities and broaden the conversation about independent female artists.
