Clothing, perfume and cosmetics are available at customers’ doorsteps with Macy’s Inc. (NYSE: M) announcing Monday same-day delivery in Dallas.
The department store launched the service last fall in Chicago, Houston, Los Angeles, Northern New Jersey, San Francisco, Seattle and Washington D.C. Same-day drop off typically means clients receive their orders at their homes or offices within a matter of hours for a $5 standard ground shipping fee.
“It is an important part of our value proposition as an omnichannel retailer serving customers who shop our stores and websites whenever, wherever and however they prefer,” R.B. Harrison, Macy’s chief omnichannel officer, said in a statement.
Same-day delivery is now available in Atlanta; Boston; Dallas; Honolulu; Las Vegas; Miami/Ft. Lauderdale; New York City/Western Long Island; Orange County, California; and Philadelphia through delivery startup Deliv.
The Menlo Park, California-based startup also provides delivery services to mall owners like General Growth Properties, Macerich, PREIT, Simon Property Group, Taubman Centers and Westfield Corp.
