The City Influencer wants to take traditional networking event and crank things up a bit.

We’re excited to announce the first ever monthly business social club for minority entrepreneurs, small business owners and creatives of color in Dallas.

So what is a social club? In the traditional sense of the word, social clubs give individuals with similar interests a way to gather for the purposes of sharing information, ideas, conversations and connections over food and drink.

Cities like New York and Los Angeles have long bee home to some of the world’s most interesting and exclusive member only social clubs.

We felt it was time to bring some of that flavor to the Big D.

The Net, which will take place on the third Tuesday of every month, will offer members monthly, unprecedented networking opportunities with thought leaders and critical decision makers as well as benefits from local shops, airlines, hotels, lifestyle brands, and business services.

The Net kicks off on June 21st and will feature a special pitch session with four dynamic business leaders that will not only share advice and lessons learned, but also their thoughts on the current business climate for Dallasites and those looking to do business here.

We’re excited to introduce you to our esteemed panel of advisors. But we can’t forget our fabulous host. Meet Polo.

If You Could Invite Anyone to a Dream Business Dinner You Were Hosting, Who Would It Be? Warren Buffett (Someone just won a chance to have lunch with him by bidding over three million dollars in an auction right? Clearly, he’s the man with whom to break bread.)

The Best Piece of Business Advice Ever Received? Invest in your own growth. Anything that makes you more valuable and improves your skills and abilities . No one, NO ONE, can take that from you. The ROI (return on investment) is ten-fold.

Your Thoughts On Doing Business in Dallas? Dallas is an incredible, welcoming city to not only DO business in, but THRIVE as well. Some of the country’s largest and newest companies are recognizing how lucrative of a market we have here.  Whether it’s a startup or large enterprise, there is a place for it all in Dallas.

The Most Common Mistake You See New Business Owners or Entrepreneurs Make? Businesses forget their “Why.” Or better yet, they build before understanding their “Why.” Many focus on what they do and how they do it but forget about why they started in the first place. Consumers are drawn to a compelling story; we want to know why you do what you do and we want an engaging experience, not just what you are selling.

What Do You Do For Fun? Where Do You Go? When I’m not traveling, you’ll find me hanging out in and around a five mile radius of downtown Dallas. I’m a foodie at heart and there are always plenty of new restaurants to check out. Where do I go? Wherever Uber takes me.

Join The City Influencer on 6/21 to meet and explore ideas with other Dallas entrepreneurs and creatives. You’ll also get an opportunity to learn about membership in The Net and a chance to join that evening as well.
