Fall is here and what better way to enjoy the season than cheese. Ok and maybe wine and one of Scardello’s fun classes this month.

Scardello is a cut-to-order cheese shop located in Uptown Dallas that focuses on handcrafted cheeses and tasty accompaniments. The shop offers 150 handmade American, Texas and European cheeses as well as an assortment of classes offered year around.

Each month, take part in delicious classes offering cheese pairing tips with wine and beer. The classes provide an interesting way to learn about new cheeses.

Throughout the month of October, Cheesemonger Rich Rogers will share his extensive knowledge on the following: the perfect cheese fondue pairings, mountain cheeses with Jura wine and more. Cheese 101- Winner of D Magazine’s Best of Big D!
Thursday, October 15 at 7 p.m.
$40 per person
Join Scardello and nibble your way through the different cheese types. Experience
comparative tastings of cheese and out-of-the-ordinary items that will help you focus on the
distinct flavors of each cheese type. We will cover the basics on how cheese is made and
answer questions about cheese pairing fundamentals. Of course, there will be soothing
libations provided for enjoyment in the relaxing atmosphere of the shop! Reservations

Fondue Night
Friday, October 16 at 7 p.m.
$49 per person
Dinner will include an amuse-bouche; authentic, three-mountain cheese fondue with
salamis, bread and fruit; green salad; and a dessert of locally made chocolate truffles.
Also included is a glass of sparkling wine to start or end your evening. Other wine and
beer is available for purchase by the glass or bottle.

Mountain Cheese and Wine
Thursday, October 22 at 7 p.m.
$40 per person
Mountain Cheese fascinates with its complexity, subtlety, nutty and fruity notes and its
amazing meltability. Explore mountain cheeses and wines from the Jura. Jura wines are
distinctive and unusual wines, which happen to pair with mountain cheese brilliantly.

Scary Cheese and Wine
Thursday, October 29 at 7 p.m.
$40 per person
Have you every eaten cheese that looks like a brain? Put on a brave face as we discuss
and taste some scary looking cheeses, the night before Halloween! I think you’ll fine
there’s nothing scary about the amazing flavors. As always, we will pair them up to
some less than frightening libations!
